Founded in 1943, Malaysia Steel & Metal Distributors' Association (MSMDA) traces its origins to a close-knit community of secondhand goods traders, primarily Hokkien settlers from Anxi, Fujian, who settled in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur regions. With a proud legacy spanning over 80 years, the association has grown into a unifying force for steel and metal hardware merchants across Malaysia. Dedicated to protecting industry interests and fostering new business opportunities, MSMDA today stands as one of the nation’s most influential organizations in the steel and metal sector.
